Extensions Now Available for GCX’s Newest Medical Mounting Arms

The popular extensions for the new VHM-P™ and VHM-PL™ provide greater reach and more access to mounted devices

GCX, the leading provider of medical mounting equipment, is offering 8-inch and 14-inch extensions for its newest generation of variable height arms, the VHM-P™ and VHM-PL™.

The extensions permit greater reach of the arm and better user access to a device on the arm,” Brad Cohen, GCX’s director of product management, said. Typical environments requiring additional reach include installations from headwalls, pendants and anesthesia machines.”

GCX extensions are used in 30 to 50 percent of all variable height arm installations, depending on the arm’s application and user preferences. These extensions are die-cast, making them well suited for various applications using the VHM-P and VHM-PL arms. They also create a consistent aesthetic appearance and aid in the new arms’ cable management features.

With GCX products in 5,000 U.S. hospitals and many more worldwide, healthcare organizations have long turned to the 45-year-old medical manufacturer to create mounting solutions that meet current and future needs. The VHM-P and VHM-PL offer significant advances in cable management, precision movement, cleanability, durability and load capacity.

The VHM-P and VHM-PL medical-grade arms can conceal up to eight (8) cables internally, have a smooth, unibody aluminum construction for easy cleaning and provide a wide range of movement to accommodate various users in both sitting and standing positions. Additionally, these arms are constructed to withstand constant use and can outlast generations of devices.
