GCX Corporation Offers New VHM Extension Options for Evolving Mounting Needs

GCX Corporation is introducing its new next-generation Extension for VHM™ variable height support arms.

GCX, the worldwide leader in medical instrument and IT mounting solutions, drew upon over 40 years of healthcare industry experience to extensively redesign the VHM Extension. A bridge between the channel to which the arm is mounted and VHM variable height mounts, the new product offers the ultimate in GCX modularity, flexibility in positioning, ease of cleaning, and durability.

The VHM Extension, available in 8-inch (20.3 cm) and 14-inch (35.6 cm) lengths, can be positioned to enhance usability at the point-of-care. Fully extended, it allows users to take advantage of additional reach capability, while flush to the wall, it adapts ideally to limited space in today’s clinical environments. Its versatile design permits the VHM to be mounted either above or below the extension, and lets the arm fold over for compact storage.

The VHM with Extension option is suitable for use on patient-room headwalls systems, pendants, or in other applications such as on anesthesia machines where additional reach is needed but space is at a premium. It is ideal for use with patient monitoring and IT-related hardware.

The form of the VHM Extension facilitates essential cleaning functions by providing a seamless top surface. Also, space in the interior underside of the extension offers improved cable management.
