One of the medical technology industry\u2019s biggest conferences is this week, and we\u2019re excited to again be a part of it. HIMSS16 kicks off Monday with Preview Night at the Sands Convention Center and Expo in Las Vegas. By the end of the week, we hope to have met with many of the 43,000 attendees looking for solutions to better engage patients and allow medical equipment to work safely and securely. <\/p>\n
Most people don\u2019t know this, but we actually unveiled a version of the Patient Engagement Table at last year\u2019s show. It was at that time we brought out a very early prototype that we\u2019d pulled together based on feedback from our customers. That early model of an over-bed table that could accommodate a tablet device generated a lot of positive feedback from HIMSS attendees, and this encouraged us to develop today\u2019s version of the Patient Engagement Table, which makes it much easier to use a tablet device from a bed or chair. We\u2019ve since developed additional solutions for positioning tablets for patient use that we\u2019re eager to demonstrate at the show.<\/p>\n
Additionally, we\u2019re showcasing a new line of variable height mounts, the VHM-P\u2122 and VHM-PL\u2122, that deliver significant advances in cable management, precision, cleanability, durability. Our new arm mounts \u2013 designed to hold computers and medical equipment for clinician use \u2013 help by containing multiple device cables and making it easier to clean the mounts. These solutions also include an optional lock feature, so a device stays where it\u2019s positioned, or easily moves as needed. <\/p>\n
