This is especially common when it comes to headwalls, which, once installed, become part of a room\u2019s architecture and are designed to clear clutter and provide easier access to lifesaving equipment and patient monitoring devices. They are also a popular place to install one of our mounting solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Oftentimes GCX is brought in after rooms are designed and headwalls are installed, which forces us to develop a reactive mounting solution. I can\u2019t help but think: It doesn\u2019t need to be this way. <\/p>\n<p>GCX is more than just a medical product manufacturer; we are a solutions provider. We have the experience and expertise to help our healthcare customers provide optimal care through the safe use of medical and IT devices in increasingly crowded or constrained spaces. As such, our consultative capabilities are best leveraged when we are part of the planning and design phases of a project, rather than after a new build or remodel is well underway. <\/p>\n<p>The benefits of bringing in mounting solution experts during design planning include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On-time completion of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding costly and time-consuming product returns and reorders.<\/li>\n<li>Appropriately and safely placed medical devices and computers on headwalls.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring device placement is compatible with the clinician workflow and traffic patterns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GCX products integrate with every headwall from every manufacturer, and we also have a vast network of longstanding relationships with medical device manufacturers. This helps ensure projects are well managed and done as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible \u2014 a cornerstone of the GCX experience. Bringing in GCX experts to outfit and review mock-up rooms also provides a great opportunity for stakeholders to see multiple solutions at full scale.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is to make our customers\u2019 lives easier so they can devote more of their time to patient care. Whether it\u2019s new construction or a remodel, proper project management is key to staying on time and on budget.
